Working with Service Devices
A COS ConfigurationA logical grouping of devices, usually consisting of one or more COS - SDs and Testing Devices. A COS Configuration has two primary functions: It allows you to logically group Testing Devices and COS - SDs and it allows you to easily specify the settings for all of the devices in the COS Configuration.

Name |
The name given to the COS - SD when it was configured. |
ID |
The unique alphanumeric Device ID that COS created for the COS - SD. |
CH |
The CH column indicates whether the COS - SD is configured for Content HostingA COS - SD function used to provide content to student Testing Devices. Content Hosting authenticates content requests, decrypts content, and aggregates items into forms.

CM |
CM column indicate whether the COS - SD is configured for Content Management and the status. The possible status values are:

Restart SD |
CM is currently in a broken/error state. |
Version Updating |
The service device is currently updating its version. |
Content Updating |
Content is currently downloading |
Content Outdated |
User has changed the content options, but content is still updating. |

Internal IP |
The internal IP address of the COS - SD. |
Operating System |
The operating system of the COS - SD. |
Version |
The version of the operating system on the COS - SD. |
Content Updated |
The date and time that the COS - SD was last updated (the COS - SD is checked every four minutes). |
Domain Name |
A unique, identifying URL generated on the COS - SD. |
Status |
The current status of the COS - SD. The possible status values are:

Initializing |
Device has just been installed. |
Unable to Find |
Device has not sent a successful heartbeat for sometime (2 heartbeats by default). |
Version Updating |
The service device is currently updating its version. |
Version Outdated |
If the service device is currently behind the minimum required sd version. |
Update Available |
If an update is available to the SD, but the SD is currently above the minimum required version. |
Content Validating |
The content of the COS - SD is being validated. |
In Progress |
The content of the COS - SD is being updated. |
Functional |
The COS - SD is functional and its content is up to date. |
