Adding, Removing, and Validating Service Devices

You can use COS to edit COS Configurations by adding or removing COS - SDs and to manually validate the testing content of COS - SDs. You can add or remove COS - SDs to maximize the efficiency of your testing environment as testing needs change.

Important: A COS - SD can only be associated with one COS Configuration. If the COS - SD you want to move is associated with a different COS Configuration, you must remove it from its current COS Configuration before adding it to the new COS Configuration. Remember to keep track of its Device ID.

  1. To add a COS - SD to a COS ConfigurationA logical grouping of devices, usually consisting of one or more COS - SDs and Testing Devices. A COS Configuration has two primary functions: It allows you to logically group Testing Devices and COS - SDs and it allows you to easily specify the settings for all of the devices in the COS Configuration., select Service Devices for the correct COS Configuration, enter the COS - SD Id in the Add field, and click Add to add the COS - SD to the COS Configuration.

  2. To remove one or more COS - SDs, select Service Devices for the correct COS Configuration, select each device by clicking the checkmark next to it (the device is highlighted) and click Remove.

  3. If you attempt to remove an COS - SD, the Confirm Removal dialog box displays. Click Remove to remove the COS - SD from the COS Configuration or Cancel to cancel the removal.
