Renaming or Removing Service Devices

You can quickly rename a COS - SD or remove it from a COS ConfigurationA logical grouping of devices, usually consisting of one or more COS - SDs and Testing Devices. A COS Configuration has two primary functions: It allows you to logically group Testing Devices and COS - SDs and it allows you to easily specify the settings for all of the devices in the COS Configuration..

  1. Select the correct COS Configuration from the COS DashboardProvides visual status information for all COS Configurations, COS - SDs, and Testing Devices plus links that can be used to manage each COS Configuration, including COS - SDs and Testing Devices. and click Service Devices. From the Service Devices page, click the underlined COS - SD to display the Device Information page. You can use this page to change the name of the COS - SD.

  2. To rename the COS - SD, enter its new name in the Device Name field and click Save.

  3. To remove the COS - SD from the COS database, click Remove. If you click Remove, the Confirm Remove dialog box displays to verify your decision. Click Continue to remove the COS - SD or Cancel to cancel the removal.
