Editing Accommodations from Test Management

Users with the “Registration – Search/View”, “Registration Add/Edit” and the “Registration - Edit Accommodations” permissions can update accommodations for students within Test Management. If you are unable to complete this action, please refer to your District Test Coordinator.

There are two methods to update accommodations for a student from Test Management in WIDA AMS.

Method 1: Update accommodations from View Registration(s). This method is best if you wish to update accommodations for multiple students within the same registration.

  1. Select Test Management from the WIDA AMS My Applications menu.  

  2. Confirm or enter your site criteria in the upper right corner. Click Save

  3. Confirm or select your Registration Window in the drop-down. Make sure to select the correct year.

  4. From View Registration(s), locate the registration you wish to view or edit. You can use filters to narrow your search.

  5. Click on the Registration Name to view the registration details.

  6. On the Details tab, locate the student you wish to update. In the Action column for that student, click on the vertical ellipse to open a pop-up menu.

  7. Select Accommodations from the menu. Then check or uncheck the accommodations that you wish to update. Select Save.

  8. The updated accommodations will be displayed in the Details tab under the Accommodations column.

  9. Repeat steps 6-8 for each student in the registration that needs accommodation updates.

Method 2: Update accommodations from Registered Students. This method is best if you wish to quickly find a student and update their accommodations. This is particularly useful if you have access to multiple districts and/or schools.

  1. Select Test Management from the WIDA AMS My Applications menu.  

  2. Confirm or enter your site criteria in the upper right corner. Click Save

  3. Confirm or select your Registration Window in the drop-down. Make sure to select the correct year.

  4. From Registered Students, use the search bar to search for the student by name, SSID, or assessments. The page will populate the registrations for that student.

  5. In the Action column for that student, click on the vertical ellipse to open a pop-up menu.

  6. Select Manage Accommodations from the menu. Then check or uncheck the accommodations that you wish to update. Select Save.

  7. The updated accommodations will be displayed in the Accommodations column. 
    Note: For WIDA Screener Online, selected accommodations apply to all four domains.
