Working with Content Hosting

Content HostingA COS - SD function used to provide content to student Testing Devices. Content Hosting authenticates content requests, decrypts content, and aggregates items into forms. is the COS service used to provide content to student Testing Devices. Content Hosting authenticates content requests, decrypts content, and aggregates items into forms. To use content Hosting a COS - SD must be configured.

Use the Content Hosting page to enable/disable Content Hosting, to enable load balancing, and to specify a shared location for test content.

Important: Multiple content sources are not supported for COS. COS uses the first content source only.

  1. Select a COS ConfigurationA logical grouping of devices, usually consisting of one or more COS - SDs and Testing Devices. A COS Configuration has two primary functions: It allows you to logically group Testing Devices and COS - SDs and it allows you to easily specify the settings for all of the devices in the COS Configuration. from the COS DashboardProvides visual status information for all COS Configurations, COS - SDs, and Testing Devices plus links that can be used to manage each COS Configuration, including COS - SDs and Testing Devices. and click Content Hosting to display the Content Hosting page. This page indicates whether Content Hosting is enabled and the COS Configurations selected.
