Generating and Using a Monitoring Code
Before using the Test Monitoring application, you must create your students and registrations in WIDA AMS.
To generate and use a monitoring code, do the following:
- Log in to WIDA AMS.
- Select Test Monitoring from the My Applications menu.
- The Test Monitoring Dashboard is displayed.
- If there is not an active monitoring code, one will automatically be generated and will expire at the end of the day.
- If there is an active monitoring code, that code will be displayed along with its expiration date and the Test Monitoring Dashboard will display the status of any student that used the code
- To generate a new code, click Generate New Code, and select an expiration date.
- Click Generate. The expiration date is now displayed next to the monitoring code in the test monitoring dashboard.
Note:
- This will cause the existing code to expire and will display a warning that any existing students attached to the code will be removed from the dashboard. Students can continue testing, but the test administrator will not be able to see their
status in the Test Monitoring Dashboard.
- Codes will expire at 11:59 p.m. on the expiration date.
- Distribute the monitoring code to your students.
- After logging in to the test, students enter the monitoring code in the Enter Monitoring Code field on the Student Verification page in the DRC INSIGHT browser and then click Save Code.
- The student clicks Continue and can begin the test.
