Copying a Registration
Users with the “Registration Add/ Edit” permission may copy the students from an existing registration into a new registration. This is particularly helpful during the WIDA ACCESS registration window if a user is manually creating registrations. For
example, a user creates a registration for the Listening domain and wishes to copy those students into registrations for Reading, Writing, and Speaking domains. The Copy Registration feature will take users to the Create Registration screen with the
students from the copied registration already selected. The Copy Registration feature is not applicable for WIDA Screener Online.
- Select Test Management from the WIDA AMS My Applications menu.
- Confirm or enter your site criteria in the upper right corner. Click Save.
- Confirm or select your Registration Window in the drop-down. Make sure it is the correct year.
- From View Registration(s), locate the registration you wish to view or edit. You can use filters to narrow your search.
- Click on the Registration Name to view the registration details.
- Click on the Student(s) List tab
- Click Copy Registration.
Note: Copy Registration will copy all student(s) in the registration. The checkbox next to the student's name is only used for adding or removing students from the registration.
- You will receive a confirmation message to confirm you wish to complete the copy registration action. Click Confirm to continue, or Cancel to return to the Student(s) List tab.
- You will be redirected to Create Registration, where the students from the copied registration will already be selected.
- Enter a Registration Name of your choice. The registration name should be descriptive. For example, you might name the registration by the teacher’s name and classroom period.
- Click Select Assessment(s). For WIDA ACCESS, you will select an assessment for each domain. Select Add.
Note: You must select the assessment that is appropriate for the grade-level cluster of the students you copied. If you select outside of the appropriate grade-level cluster, the copied students will no longer
be selected on the Create Registration screen, and you will need to start over.
- You may choose to Modify Student(s) in the registration if you wish to add students who were not in the original registration or remove students who copied over that you don’t
wish to include.
Note: If you have confirmed the student is in WIDA AMS, but you do not see the student in the Available Student(s) window, they are likely already in the maximum number of registrations for this assessment (one
registration for each WIDA ACCESS domain).
- Choose a Test Monitoring selection or leave defaulted to “None”. This can always be modified later in View Registrations. Then turn the Restricted Access toggle On or Off.
- Select Register.
- You will receive a Registration Confirmation message showing the assessment and number of students added to the registration. Click Close.
