DRC INSIGHT Remote Testing System Readiness Check Help

The following are brief explanations of the criteria used to perform System Readiness Checks on the testing device. For specific information and technical support, see the DRC INSIGHT Remote Testing System Requirements.

Browser – This test checks to see whether your browser is one of the DRC supported browsers allowed for testing (Chrome or Safari). If your browser check failed, you are not using a supported browser and you should change your browser.

Device Operating System – This test reviews the operating system on your testing device to make sure it aligns with the DRC supported operating system requirements. If your device failed, it does not use one of those supported operating systems and you should use a different device.

Device Type – This test reviews the type of device you are using to make sure it is one of the DRC supported devices allowed for testing. If your device failed, it is not one of those supported devices and you should use a different device.

Device Memory – This test reviews the amount of memory - or RAM - installed on your testing device to make sure your device performs optimally and that you don't experience performance issues while testing.

If your device failed you should use a different device, install additional memory or uninstall any programs or applications you no longer use.

Device Processor – This test reviews the type of processor your device is using to make sure it aligns with the DRC supported processor requirements. If your device failed, it does not meet the requirements and you should use a different device.

Connection Speed – This test reviews your device's connection speed to make sure it aligns with the DRC supported processor requirements. These requirements account for both the DRC INSIGHT needs and any web meeting needs that may be required during your assessment. If your device failed, try the following to improve your connection speed:

Network Access – This test checks to see if you can connect to the DRC INSIGHT servers. If your device fails, try the following to enable your device to connect to the DRC INSIGHT servers:

Device Power Supply – This test verifies that the device has sufficient power to support the device throughout the testing duration. If the device fails, plug it in to a power supply.

Screen Resolution –  This test checks to see if your device's screen resolution meets the DRC supported requirements. If your device fails, it does not meet the screen resolution requirements and you should use a different device.

DRC INSIGHT Secure Extension –  This test checks to see if your device has the DRC INSIGHT Secure Extension installed and enabled for Google Chrome. Some testing programs require the DRC INSIGHT Secure Extension to access the test while others do not. The DRC INSIGHT Secure Extension is available in the Chrome Web Store.
