Specifying a Proxy Host or Restricted Proxy Host

If you need to specify a proxy host or restricted proxy host for DRC INSIGHT from the Configuration Information page for the COS ConfigurationA logical grouping of devices, usually consisting of one or more COS - SDs and Testing Devices. A COS Configuration has two primary functions: It allows you to logically group Testing Devices and COS - SDs and it allows you to easily specify the settings for all of the devices in the COS Configuration., what you do depends on whether a COS - SD is associated with the COS Configuration.

  1. If no COS - SD is associated with the COS Configuration, you may specify a proxy host only.

To specify a proxy host, toggle the Use Proxy Host option on and enter the server name (or IP address) and port number (separated by a colon), followed by a forward slash (/) in the Proxy Path field.

Note that the path to this proxy host should match the proxy host path you specified when you installed COS on the device (if necessary, refer to the appropriate COS installation section of Volume II of the DRC Technology User Guide).

  2. If one or more COS - SDs are associated with the COS Configuration, you may specify either a proxy host or a restricted proxy host. Toggle Use Proxy Host or Restricted Proxy on.
